Description

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Presented By; GARRETT CLASSICS classic and collector car sales and consignment 1865 McGee Ln, Ste F Lewisville, TX 75077 call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 This is a very nice driver quality 65. It does not have it's original 396 block. However, the block in it is a 1972 396/402 with the CTB code most likely from a Camaro or Chevelle. The original block is with the car. Features Include; 396/402 V-8 (1972) Manual 4 Speed Transmission 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Soft Top Only Factory Side Pipes Recently appraised by Classic Auto Appraiser from Durant ,Oklahoma, the car was valued at $75,000. This is a fun car to drive and enjoy. The Nassau Blue color is one of the most desirable colors, and draws a great deal of attention. All gauges are still very clear and all working as well as the clock. The head lights are working well also. The Trim Tag shows the car to have been built on July 2, 1965 in St. Louis, in Nassau Blue with blue vinyl interior. The current owner does not have much of the history of the car. It is believed that the interior is original as well as the mileage. The driver's seat does have a separation in one seam, and some tiny holes. The block in the car now is a CTB code showing it to be a 1972 402 from a Camaro. The horse power is not as much as the original block. The original 396 matching numbers block comes with the car. The owner is not sure why the engine was changed. It came with the car when she bought it. You can see the original block was an IF code. 396/ 425 hp. It still has its broach marks and does not look restamped. The owner is not sure why the block was changed. It has written on the side Burnt Mag. We are not sure what that means. All of this aside, if you are looking for a very nice 65 Corvette, and don't care if it's matching numbers or not and want a great looking car that is fun to drive, this is the one for you. There is no hard top, and the soft top is in good condition with the back window a bit discolored. The undercarriage looks good. No obvious signs of rust in the usual areas. These are the original baffled side pipes of the 396/ 425hp this car was from the factory. This is your opportunity to own a very nice 1965 Corvette for a really good price. Again, please call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317. We can also help with financing if you would like.
